I can't believe it's been a year since I started my gym journey for the first time. I've never been one to enjoy going to the gym but with everything, you have to push yourself, create a habit and once you get into the groove of a routine, it's so much easier!
I had joined the gym for the first time because I had a goal in mind, one that I set out with my best friend Amanda and that was to be able to ice climb a 30ft wall. Yes, you heard that right. Coming from the girl who doesn't know how to ride a bike, ice skate, or even swim, I was challenging myself to hike up a mountain with a 20lb back pack and climb a wall covered in ice and snow.
Well, I have always been one to challenge myself to the extremes and this was no exception, the only difference is that I needed to prepare myself or this would easily become dangerous. I had decided to join Blink Fitness and hired a personal trainer, Tanya, to train me for the next two months because on January 2nd I was going to Catskill mountains.
All I can say is that I LOVED IT! I literally can't wait to go again and what's really exciting is that I can revisit my adventure again and again because I had decided to bring along my go pro to record the entire thing. Check it out below.
