Katherine Pierce Vampire Diaries Inspired

The moment that I heard that the sweet 16 party I was going to this weekend was a masquerade party, the first thing I jumped on was Pinterest for inspiration. It didn’t take long to decide which character I would center my look on. Who better to base a masquerade theme look on none other than Katherine Pierce from Vampires Diaries.

I decided to put my own twist and get a lace fabric mask instead of her thin metal mask that frames her eyes. I also added my own stones to give it a pop. For this look I smoked out my eyes with lots of lash and a red lip mix of Mac’s Ruby Roo and Lime Crime deep red in Wicked. I kept my hair out of my face and straightened it with a bit of a teased top. Probably the most I have done to my hair at least to myself because we all know I know nothing about hair. Thankful I got some tips from my hair stylist bff Jillian Anza and grabbed some products from Kenig Alcone before my trip. This dress I actually bought a couple years ago in a small shop in NYC around Steinway Avenue in Astoria, Queens.

For a pop of added color I decided to wear my Steve Madden purple pumps with bedazzled heels instead of going with a basic black toe. What I love about these shoes is that the heels are actually laced first and then bejeweled on top which makes these ultra sexy. They are so comfortable to wear and I danced the whole night away with my feet not crying in pain at the end. I seriously have so many heels that I will talk about in another post. See below for final outfit look
